Spring. Finally.

Yesterday was one of those rare Saturdays in April and May in Sofia, when the sun shines, the skies are blue and everybody is out in the open. So, we and one third of the city population went to the zoo. Just an (almost) random selection of pictures we took:

We live at the foot of the Vitosha mountain and spring comes later here than in the rest of the country and with lots of rain. Today is Sunday and its raining since morning, with forecasts for heavy rain till the end of next week. I'm so glad we had such a fabulous walk yesterday!

    1. Thank you, Rosy! It was really cold at the beginning of the week, but spring has come to stay and the trees are already blooming. It's so nice to have the winter behind us :)

  2. How do you like your zoo? I find ours a bit depressing. Some of it has been modernized and updated. I'm too spoiled from Six Flags.
How great you and the ohana spend some QT together.

    1. In our zoo the animals look well looked after, but bored and lazy. I know they are imprisoned, but as far as I know most of them were born in captivity. I feel sorry for them, but at the same time its nice to be able to see these animals and communicate with them in some way. The grounds of the zoo are nicely kept too, so it's a really popular place.
