Ta-da! I finally jumped on the bandwagon and bought an overlocker. I did a thorough research and the most popular and reliable one in my price range seems to be Brother 1034D and its current variations. As we do not have a sales representative for Brother in Bulgaria, I had to order it on Amazon.de and any warranty service (God forbid!) will be somewhat a problem, as I suppose I will have to send it back to Germany at my cost, but it is what it is. Ah, and the instruction manuals are in Czech, Polish, Hungarian and Romanian :) That's like sending to an English person manuals in Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish and Finish. Of course, I downloaded the English manual from Brother's site, but it had me rolling my eyes a bit :)
But enough ranting! I'm so happy and I can't wait to sew my first T-shirt or something. Last night I watched the instruction tutorial twice, threaded the machine at least twice and sewed my first samples.
I felt very, very intimidated after I watched the tutorial, but operating the machine turned out to be simple and so far I'm enjoying it. I still haven't tried all of the options - three thread operations, rolled hems and such, but I just couldn't wait to share the joy :)
