Vienna, The Prater

We spent most of our third day in Vienna walking along the banks by the river Danube and in the Prater. Apart from the amusement park, known as the Volks Prater, the Prater is a big city park with broad shady alleys, lakes, meadows, sports facilities and lots of benches to sit, enjoy and relax.

One of the amusement facilities we tried - not for those afraid of heights :). It was fun and you wouldn't believe the wind high up there, while the cradles spin around! Of course, the view was amazing!

And this was another shot of adrenaline we enjoyed, especially the sudden turning upside down :)

  1. I was curious about what kind and brand of flats you're wearing that enables you to play tourist in ease?

    1. These are very plain flats, the brand is Graceland from Deichmann. Finding comfortable city shoes is a big issue for me, as I have wide feet and most shoes seem to be made for women with narrow feet :(
