Vienna, Stephansdom and Belvedere

On the first day of our stay in Vienna the weather was cloudy and it drizzled most of the time, with a few hours break, when the sun came out and the clouds dispersed for a while. We walked around the city center, entered the St. Stephan's Cathedral - one of the symbolic places of Vienna, and climbed the South Tower.

: Gothic cathedrals are so impressive

: Inside the cathedral

:Views over the city from the South Tower

: Along one of the central streets

:The Plague Column

: The Russian monument

:Belvedere. All of a sudden the clouds dispersed and the sun was shining

: We visited Upper Belvedere gallery, housing art from the Baroque to Post War Vienna period, the most notable of which is the Klimt collection

: A view to the gardens of Belvedere palace

: When we exited the gallery, it was drizzling again. Guided by Gaby, we continued our walk to the most notable places of Vienna and decided to return to Belvedere gardens on a more sunny day. And  here we are on our third day, after the Prater.
