FIFA World Cup Knitting

I haven't been blogging much lately, mostly because I've nothing much to show. For the past two months I've been working on my cross stitch Venetian Bistro, but embroidering is a very slow process and I still haven't reached a point worth showing my progress.
But, with the opening of the World Cup in Brazil, I needed an easy knitting project, which I could work on while watching the matches (yes, I'm a soccer fan ☺).

I have four balls of grey-beige Diva, recovered from a crochet cardigan, which didn't get much wear, and I though it would make a nice striped sweater, combined with a self-striping yarn of the same brand. So I bought a ball of beige-turquoise Diva and started a striped stockinette sweater in the round - what could be easier for knitting while hooting and wooing as I watch the games. But only a day into it it was obvious to me that the dull combination was not my color at all.

So I unraveled it and decided to make something small from the ball of striping yarn - a Hitchhiker.
Such a pleasant project - garter stitch all over, super easy and fun to knit. I'm not much into spring scarfs, but the very process is worth it (and anyway, I had to do something with this new ball of yarn ☻)

  1. Your Hitchhiker scarf is a good solution—the colors of the yarn are working very nicely in this piece. We too are watching the World Cup in my household, which interferes with my sewing time, so I think I should follow your lead and find an easy knitting project.
