Boyana Waterfall 2019

One of my favourite trails on Vitosha - from Dragalevtzi to Boyana waterfalls and back. It is 16 km long along forest paths, by the Boyana lake, some vista points to Sofia and the cherry on top of the cake - the Boyana waterfalls. We usually visit the place in May and what a difference one month makes! In April the mountain is just at the cusp of spring, the trees here are still bare, the grass has just started to appear here and there, the color is mostly grey with splashes of green from the moss and the spring flowers. The waterfall was full and loud and were enjoyed our picnic on the side of it with a full view to the falling waters. I live for these Saturdays :) !
