Design: RIA by Berroco, size xs
Yarn: YarnArt Merino de Luxe, 2 skeins
Needle: 3.00 mm, 3.50 mm
A fairly easy and quick design and a stunning result. The only modifications I made to the xs size were the long sleeves and the side ribbing, which was done as a single piece, hence 2 stitches less were picked up from the back. The beads are wooden, 8 mm. To avoid curling of the side rib, I cast off purlwise on the WS as follows: p1 p1 p2tog.
New tricks I learned with this project: large number of stitches for the rib on smaller needles, reduced by 1/4 for the stockinette body produce a nice even look of the sweater. The mattress stitch for the final sewing of parts - very slow, but worth your while. Incorporating beads in the knitwork - such fun. The twisted stitches - thank you, Berroco team, wonderful video tutorial!
